I love him and that is why we went on a hike.

So, if you haven't realized I'm not much of a "lets go play outdoors" type of person. I enjoy being inside. Looking cute. I like to be clean. I hate bugs. All of them except lady bugs, rolly polly's, butterflies and possibly a few others but I can't think of them all. Anyways. I guess you could say I am picky when it comes to certain activities. One of the activities I dislike is hiking. I have never enjoyed hiking up mountains when I would rather just drive up a mountain to get a great view. (I obviously could never of been a pioneer.) Yet, I lucked out and married the most amazing guys ever....even though he is the "lets go play outdoors" type. He could live outdoors. He would probably just like to buy a piece of land.......lots of acres and live on it. Without a house. or a home for that matter. At least once or twice a week he asks if we can sleep outside in our yard. (it's not even ours) I win. We sleep in our nice, comfy, warm, big bed. Anyways.....so I dont sound like the worst wife and sound like I don't let my husband do anything he enjoys...about a week ago Nic and I took a day off together and we packed a picnic and went on a hike. And just to note how much I love him I picked the activity. Yes, it wasn't a very hard hike....considering we just picked a random one here in pocatello and never experienced any of their trails, but it was good. Plenty of bugs. Here are the pics and I love my husband and it was fun because I was with him.

And we're off!

Here is my hubby getting out the picnic. He is super excited. haha. And he is just wonderful about letting me take pictures!

Here is me at the beginning. I'm happy. It's not to hot outside. I haven't been bugged by any bugs yet...
And then this happened... I was peacefully sitting eating my picnic lunch and I was getting attacked by bugs. lets just say I hated it. the bugs that is.

And then here is my wonderful husband enjoying his picnic. He kept telling me to stay calm.

And the we started our hike. There were a lot of ups and downs in the trail but it was nice.

A beautiful view.

During our hike!

Thanks for reading!

You're right. We got one and we L-O-V-E it.

I know I know I know. Its been a long time. I've been busy (and lazy). But here I am, posting away! I have a lot to write about, so please read all. Hopefully my blog makes your life a little bit more interesting.....cause I sure enjoy writing about it. First things first...

I guess I would say that I love it. I'm the one that really uses it. Because I'm the one who is home by myself the most so it is something I can do. Wash clothes. Dry clothes. I love it now. I know I had a post before where I hated washing drying and such. But now it's now in the convenience of my own home. I don't have to pre-sort it. haul it out to the 4runner and then haul it inside and give them all my quarters. Not to mention the random, scary, weird, guy who is always there playing pacman, people. I can be alone doing my laundry privately. Here is our lovely machine:
(and a big thanks to J&J for buying this...and for Jordan and Nic for putting it all together and making sure it works!)

It's so old look'n...but it is seriously the best washer and the best dryer ever. It washes clothes in 10-15 min and dries them in 10...and they are dry. No redrying or anything. I really do love this machine.
Oh - I forgot to mention. We now have a hole in our ceiling. and did I mention this is only one way that the spiders get in to get me.

Here is the second lovely thing that we added to our little place. AC. LOVE IT. But, this is also the other thing that lets the spiders in to get me. Nic has tried to spider proof it the best he can...but, they still get me.
Side story:
I swear the first week of us having this went something like this
(picture megan and nic in bathroom)
Nic: Oh, Uh. Meg close your eyes and stand still.
Meg: Uh...why...
Nic: Just hold on a second (slapping something with shoe) Oh geez. haha.
Meg: can I look now? (franticly looking around room...) what is it?
Nic: Oh nothing.
For the first couple days I did not figure out what was going on...but then at 5:45 in the morning when I have to get ready for work...I find them. and I try not to scream.
and now back to the lovely AC.
And since it is in the bathroom....we use this fan to blow it out more to the other area of our home so its also cold. Our bathroom gets so cold though....every time I walk in there I feel like I'm walk'n into a freezer. I know I shouldn't complain because it used to be sooooo hot. But every time I have to go in there I get blasted with the fan and then I still have to be in the freezer. It's cold. but I'm grateful. Thanks Nic.

Fielding Family Reunion

Over the 4th of July my mom's side of the family got together to have loads of fun down in Logan, UT! We had the Fielding Family Reunion! What a blast! It was Nic and I's first time as a married couple, so it was fun to have Nic there with me and for me to get to watch him play with my cousins and enjoy the families reunion traditions.
My Uncle Jason and Aunt Janell did such a FABULOUS job on this years reunion!! J&J decorated with 4th of July stuff all over the cabins and did such a wonderful job!

Here is Grandma with almost all of the grandkids...and great grand kids! We're missing some and I hope and wish we can all make it next year!

Here is one of the traditions we do every year...WATER GAMES! They're fun, Nic and I were taking a nap at this time. We were both so so so tired!

Here is another tradition, the egg toss. (there is my hubby first one on the right! :D) My Uncle Eric and Aunt Shannon usually win this....but not this year!

Great catch honey and smile! :D Love him!

My brother Tom and Uncle Ken are the ones who won the egg toss this year! Congrats! Everyone was so shocked when Eric and Shannon's egg broke on them!

Here is Nic with our new adorable cousin Sloane...is that how you spell it? oh dear. Well, she is so stink'n cute and such a good baby! Nic and I love her a lot, can't you tell by his face?

Here we are...another tradition. (seriously not everything we do is tradition....but there is an afternoon where we spent it doing most of all the tradition stuff) This one is the dummy doll. Don't know why they have the dummy part exactly. Anyways, there is this soft, clothe doll that you can answer yes and no questions too and it nodds it's head. It's never been a favorite because the questions are always "does david have a girlfriend" or "are nic and megan going to have a baby soon." Stuff like that, every year. haha. So anyways...Nic and I went and enjoyed it. It was his first time so we had too!

Oh and here is Nic getting his finger bit by the dummy doll. Kids enjoy this a lot. I can't even recall getting my finger bit. All the young cousins that it was hilarious that Nic was getting his finger bit. He's cool. I know.

Here is Maurinda doing face painting. I was also assigned....but I only did a few. My dragons are horrible by the way. They looks like lizards. Anyways, we always have crafts to do and they are fun fun fun!

This is such a wonderful photo to look at for me. My grandpa passed away a little over a year ago and this is the second reunion that he hasn't been here for. We all got our own balloon, we got to put our favorite memory or message to him and we all got to send them up. It was a wonderful and emotional time. We love him so very much and I cannot wait for the day when I get to see him again. I'm so grateful for the gospel and the fact that I know I will see him again someday!

After the dinner and some other festivities we had a skit/learn something night. We enjoyed the program of "Get a Clue!" Each one of the original 10 kids from my mom's family and my grandma had to dress up. (yes we had to get creative and add or change names considering we had more and to go with the program) My mom was Mrs. White and our weapon was the rope. Mom had to dress up and we had to make up a skit that had to do with organization and time management. We had to have a rope in it and we had to have the frase "get a clue" somewhere in it. All the skits turned out sooooo good! So were funny. Some were spiritual. So were just plain awesome! Here are some pics....and don't forget Detective Gray. haha.

Here is my grandma. She is so hilarious. She was the one who gave out the rewards at the end. She did such a great job. And for her outfit she cut this garbage bag to make a cape and since she is "detective gray" and since the bag is black she put a sign on the front of the cape that said "this is a gray cape" oh man. it was so hilarious. she just says the funniest things. Nic and I love her so much.

Here is Jason and Janell. Oh man. Their skit was on jobs and having a good interview and anything else that goes with that. They did such a good job....they had Jason dress up as different people coming in for different interviews and this one is of him being Micheal Jackson. SO HILARIOUS. They both did such fabulous jobs!

Here's Brenda and Lorin. Their skit was on the 5 love languages. They did such a wonderful job. Sweet, hilarious, entertaining all in one! Good job guys!

Here she is, Mrs. White! haha. My mom came up with such a fabulous skit for us! I thought it was great, even though I'm not a good jump roper. She was able to tie everything in sooo well! Good Job mom!

Then here I am jump'n away! Tom, David, Moe, Nic, Mom and I all had to jump. Richard and dad were the ones turning the rope. It was loads of fun.

And here is one, or probably, my most favorite parts of the whole reunion. The very last night we have a fire and have testimony meeting. It is so nice hearing so many testimonies and feeling the spirit so strong. I am so grateful for the family that the Lord blessed me in! I can't wait till next year!

Enjoying Utah with Trevor and Sharon!

Just so you are aware...this is picture filled. We had so much fun which mean lots of moments you need to see....

Nic and I left Friday evening when he got off work. First of all, we decided that we love driving to Utah from Poci because it is so much more beautiful. It's green. Not nasty brown, tan, deadness...but green. Here is my first photo:LOVE IT!
We arrived safely that night, so happy to see Trevor and Sharon, talked, watched a movie and then crashed. Saturday morning Nic and I got up and went to the Mt. Timpanogus Temple. Its a very beautiful temple. Also very VERY busy. The Provo and South Jordan (is that was it is?) Temples were both closed so everyone decided they were going to come and hang out at the same one we did....
We then headed back to Trevrons (that's the name I just made up for them). We 4 then decided to head over to Hogle Zoo for a fun day. Side Note: I have never been there before so I thank Sharon for going because she had already been twice (I think) this summer! The Hogle Zoo is so big compared to Boise's zoo so i enjoyed it a lot. Some of my favorites were the Rhinos, Giraffes, Elephants and the Bird show we saw. Nic and I never realized how well birds can be trained!

Here we are at the bird show! It was so amazing! They had many different types of birds, which was cool to see. They would have the birds fly out of cages that were hidden in different areas around where we were sitting and the birds would come out and fly about 5 inches from your head SO CRAZY! I seriously thought we were going to get pelted in the head by one of the birds!
Bald Eagle! So beautiful! This one is a male....the guys said that females are even bigger. Crazy.
After the zoo we went to a rodeo! It was such a blast! This was my very first and I enjoyed it so much. These cowboys are very brave....I would NEVER ride a bull or bronco. Yikes!

We LOVE Trevron!

These four little girls had a dance off....it was so cute and hilarious! All four girls did such a great job...and we loved how they were all dressed up as little cowgirls! The youngest one was 4, she is the one in the little pink skirt.

I did not know I horse could bend like this....but then again, if I had something rid'n up my rear end I would also be jump'n like crazy!

One of Nic's sunglasses shades fell out during the rodeo and fell beneath the bleachers....so he popped the other one out and told me to take a picture! haha. So hilarious.

Sunday was a fun day spent with Trevron. Lots of talk'n, amazing food, Nic and Trev played soccer and then had a juggl'n competition. In the beginning neither of them were very good...but near the end did better! I think the total between them was 20...so hilarious to watch. I caught Nic laughing in this picture, he isn't screaming. haha.

After play'n soccer we did get in the hot tub....I do have a picture but it's not a good one...and you can only see part of Nic's swim shorts....so he looks naked.

And this is us on Monday before we got to Lagoon....it was a fun packed day! We saw some of my family that was up there for the day, so that was fun. We really enjoyed our weekend together considering we don't always have much time with one another. Interesting that when you get married you see each other less.....it must be a blessing in disguise! haha!
