You should go and count some blessings....

Yes. After this post you should go and count your blessings. The little ones. Not the everyday, "i realize i have a nice bed to sleep in and food to eat" but the little ones. So the little blessing that I would like to tell about is this....

Yes, this is what you think it is. A dishwasher. Having a dishwasher is the most amazing thing to have.
Before Nic and I got married neither of us thought it would be a big deal to wash our dishes by hand. We figured, 2 of each of these things: cups, plates, forks, spoons and knives. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Yeah right. You have the pans and the utensils to stir what's in the pans and then you have the cutting board, the 3 other cups from the other day and so forth. WASHING DISHES IS THE WORST!!!!
I hate it so much. But, then one day we got a glorious call from my parents. It was a Saturday, it was Nic's day off and I got off work at 3. Nic came and picked me up and said that I needed to call my mom. He said she was really excited on the phone and he couldn't tell me because she wanted to tell me herself. So, me being excited and having no clue what to expect, I called my mom immediately. This was her glorious news. She had gotten a dishwasher at a garage sale, they had never used it before and just wanted to get rid of it. They weren't sure if it worked or not but it was for sale. They sold it to my parents for.....(drum roll please).............$10!!!!!!!!

TEN DOLLARS?! WHAT!?

No rust. No problems. Noth'n! Works amazing! It even still had the original soap that it came with when whoever bought it all ready to go. My mom (and me) have NEVER got such a great deal before. Garage sales are amazing. Oh and to mention she wasn't even out look'n around at sales.....she saw it out of the corner of her eye and thought they should go look at it.
Now isn't this a blessing? You better believe it! Nic and I tried it out last night for our very first time. We were sooooooooooo happy. We love love love having a dishwasher. It probably seems like such a silly little thing. But it is such a great blessing to us.
I also have to mention the other added bonus. It has a wooden counter on top. This is also a blessing. We have the smallest counter space I have ever seen.....and so the fact now that I have more counter space and a place to put my kitchen aid is just wonderful!
The Lord has truly been look'n out for Nic and I and we are so grateful for this little invention. Thanks mom and dad for spending $10 on us. The best $10 spent. :D Love you!

This is my little section of counter space.....

And now we have so much more! I love it! Thanks again mom and dad!
